Director, MSR Technology – Transactions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist with transaction management functions across Freedom’s Exchange platforms, which includes the acquisition and onboarding of MSRs.

• Help define data requirements and map configurations for integration into Freedom's systems and authorized vendor platforms.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to facilitate the integration of client-facing Exchange features into wider servicing and operational workflows.

• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve loan boarding efficiency across various systems.

• Act as a vital functional resource for Freedom’s legacy Exchange transaction management portal and its associated workflows.

• Aid in the design, testing, and rollout of system improvements in coordination with technology teams and vendors.

• Provide support for servicing oversight and servicing transfer for Freedom’s MSR investment funds.

• Contribute to the delivery and expansion of Freedom’s subservicing client management capabilities.

• Assist in the creation of tools, reporting, and processes aimed at enhancing servicing oversight and client interactions.

• Serve as a business partner to internal teams and third-party providers to facilitate system integrations and technical initiatives.

• Help convert business requirements into functional specifications and adoption strategies.

• Offer user support and guidance to ensure effective and consistent use of systems.

• Conduct data validation tasks related to servicing transfers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.

• Support OCR, API, and automation projects designed to improve data accuracy and lessen operational reliance on vendors.

• Assist with investor portfolio management activities through data analysis and operational reporting.

• Aid in buyer data modeling efforts and the ongoing refinement of data management practices.

• Develop and maintain operational and investor reporting related to servicing transfers, boarding activities, and MSR transactions.

• Analyze servicing and transaction data to identify trends, exceptions, reconciliation issues, and operational risks.

• Provide business users with ad hoc reporting, data validation, and production support tasks.

• Collaborate with technology teams to validate Snowflake, SQL, API, and file-based data integrations.

• Assist in monitoring data quality, reconciliation controls, and operational reporting accuracy across servicing platforms.

• Perform additional duties and projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial experience in mortgage servicing, transaction management, or related financial operations.

• Proficient understanding of system integrations, data mapping, and workflow design.

• Strong capability to analyze business processes and assist in translating them into technical solutions.

• Familiarity with servicing platforms, transaction management tools, or Exchange-type environments is preferred.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
