This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute the medical communications strategy for the US, supporting product launches, lifecycle management, and scientific engagement.
• Establish and implement publication strategies, which encompass manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations at scientific congresses.
• Collaborate in creating the scientific communications platform and core scientific narratives to ensure consistent and impactful messaging.
• Supervise the creation of scientifically accurate medical content across various platforms, including educational programs, digital channels, symposia, MSL tools, and congresses.
• Maintain consistency and alignment of medical messaging across all communication channels and materials.
• Work collaboratively across functions with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams throughout the organization.
• Act as the single point of contact for US Medical Affairs with the Novartis Corporate Center regarding content development.
• Collaborate with external agencies, key opinion leaders, and scientific experts to enhance relevance and impact.
• Ensure that all materials comply with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry publication guidelines (e.g., GPP, ICMJE).
• Lead, mentor, and develop medical writers and communication specialists, ensuring high quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
• An advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field; PhD, PharmD, or MD is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• A minimum of five years of experience in medical or scientific communications, publications, or congress planning.
• Strong understanding of medical affairs, clinical research, publication planning, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to clearly translate complex scientific concepts.
• Proven success in leading projects within a matrixed organization, demonstrating strong project and stakeholder management abilities.
