This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the marketing strategy and its execution across various areas including events, community engagement, product marketing, Linux promotion, public relations, and influencer collaborations.
• Lead, nurture, and support a team of four marketing professionals.
• Establish strategic direction, enhance operational processes, and supervise campaigns and customer communications.
• Oversee and manage the budget for the marketing team.
• Ensure alignment between marketing and creative teams through the execution of launch campaigns and initiatives.
• Collaborate with the product marketing manager to address product marketing requirements.
• Direct go-to-market briefings for web, customer experience, and marketing teams.
• Craft product messaging and copy, identify target audiences, and coordinate cross-functional marketing efforts.
• Manage media review cycles, including preparations for physical units.
• Partner with hardware product managers, supply chain, and logistics teams to keep customers informed.
• Uphold Framework’s dedication to radical transparency.
• A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.
• At least 3 years of direct experience in managing and developing a team.
• Comfortable dedicating part of the role to individual contributions.
• Hands-on experience in overseeing physical product marketing from start to finish, including go-to-market planning, positioning, and messaging.
• Ideally, experience in consumer electronics, computer hardware, or similar hands-on hardware sectors.
• Familiarity with hardware DIY enthusiasts, computer tinkerers, Linux fans, Linux-based software developers, or AI developers.
• Proven experience in coordinating with hardware product management, supply chain, and logistics teams.
• Capability to set strategic direction for events, community outreach, Linux marketing, public relations, and influencer marketing.
• Experience in building and managing a marketing budget.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in translating technical hardware details into messaging suitable for the target audience.
• Willingness to travel approximately once every two months to Framework’s San Francisco office, in addition to occasional travel for events and photoshoots.
