This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• The Director of Market Development reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and holds a senior leadership role within the Commercial organization.

• This position is responsible for the formulation and execution of the market development strategy for their designated market, aimed at accelerating growth across key segments while fulfilling Axogen’s mission and business objectives.

• The role entails leading the planning and implementation of integrated marketing initiatives that enhance Axogen’s brand image, stimulate surgeon demand and adoption, and influence customer behaviors to shift entrenched clinical practices, thus progressing towards standard-of-care status.

• Develop and execute strategies that alter established clinical behaviors and address inertia in care standards.

• Utilize a robust strategic and analytical approach to transform market data, trends, and insights into actionable growth strategies and quantifiable results.

• Spearhead strategic market segmentation, targeting, and positioning to boost the adoption and integration of Axogen’s nerve repair algorithm into clinical guidelines and achieve standard of care recognition.

• Ensure that all strategies are effectively incorporated into Axogen's sales and sales management processes, with monitoring, management, and adjustments based on objective criteria.

• Identify, assess, and prioritize growth opportunities across emerging markets, new segments, and evolving customer requirements.

• Convert evolving and unmet customer needs into portfolio specifications.

• Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing programs that stimulate surgeon demand and adoption, influence customer behavior, and enhance Axogen's brand perception.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and product management within the medical device, surgical implant, or biotech sectors.

• Prior experience in Market Development within the Head & Neck domain is advantageous.

• A conceptual and practical understanding of strategy and the strategic planning process is essential.

• Proven success in identifying and scaling new market opportunities, particularly those involving disruptive or paradigm-shifting technologies.

• Strong technical and clinical knowledge with the capability to influence evidence generation that supports adoption and reimbursement.

• Demonstrated experience in leading market transformation, measuring penetration, and driving uptake across various adopter segments from early adopters to early majority.

• A seasoned people leader with a strong history of talent development and employee engagement.

• Ability to make informed decisions with incomplete data and establish performance metrics for necessary adjustments.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

• Willingness to travel domestically up to 35%, with some international travel anticipated.
