📋 Description

• Act as the lead for management and operations of a global USG-funded health project spanning multiple countries.

• Oversee cross-functional teams and project activities from the award phase to project close-out.

• Strategically plan and direct implementation timelines, monitor budget allocations and expenditures, and coordinate activities to adhere to schedule and budget limitations.

• Assist the Project Director in ensuring efficient, compliant, timely, and results-driven implementation.

• Manage and track systems, services, staff, and budgets in collaboration with project, technical, and finance leadership teams.

• Deliver project reports to company management and funding partners.

• Ensure that procurement practices align with USG, FHI 360, and relevant regulations.

• Develop and oversee contractual reporting systems, ensuring timely and complete submissions.

• Supervise cost-effective sub-awarding to multiple organizations worldwide.

• Lead comprehensive human resource planning for the project and assist in recruitment, onboarding, and staff supervision.

• Communicate with the client regarding management and operational issues.

• Formulate structured work plans and provide matrix-based operational oversight.

• Address and escalate country-specific issues as needed.

• Ensure compliant activity reporting and support staff performance management and professional growth.

• Serve as the acting deputy to the Project Director.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing complex, global projects.

• Proven expertise in management and operations leadership for intricate, multi-country health initiatives.

• Strong skills in strategic planning, project evaluation, and management.

• Solid business acumen with extensive experience in staff development, management, and reporting.

• Exceptional consultative and negotiation abilities.

• Experience in operations management, corporate policy development, compliance, and oversight of procedures.

• Proven skills in public relations and diplomacy.

• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.

• Proficiency in the local language of the country.

• Ability to foster positive relationships with local communities, government representatives, and donor agencies.

• Competence in analyzing and establishing effective cross-project coordination, organizational procedures, and management systems.

• Bachelor’s Degree or its international equivalent in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.

• At least 12 years of pertinent project management experience.

• Leadership experience in large-scale, global multi-country initiatives; experience with USG-funded projects is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of applicable international development and NGO regulations and policies.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Proficiency in an additional language such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian is a plus.

• Project Management certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Skype, Zoom, or Teams.

• Willingness to travel 10%–25% of the time.

• Capability to work with a personal computer/laptop, mobile phone, and standard office equipment.

• Ability to spend long hours in front of a computer screen and perform repetitive keyboard tasks.

• Capacity to sit and stand for extended durations.

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 5 lbs.

• Successful completion of necessary reference, criminal background, terrorism finance, and misconduct disclosure screening checks.
