This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the operational P&L for all acquired sites, being fully accountable for revenue performance, gross margin, labor costs, and operating expenses.
• Oversee Site General Managers within the acquired portfolio, establishing clear performance expectations, conducting regular operational reviews, and making personnel decisions to ensure alignment with Stord standards.
• Spearhead the comprehensive operational integration of newly acquired companies, implementing structured 30/60/90-day plans and ensuring that each site adopts Stord's standard operating procedures within set timelines.
• Manage the weekly M&A operating review by presenting fulfillment KPIs (UPH, OPH, OTIF, labor efficiency), SLA performance, P&L variances, milestone progress, and key escalations to the VP and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Facilitate synergy realization across the portfolio by monitoring initiative-level progress against deal models, identifying gaps early, and leading structured recovery plans when performance diverges from targets.
• Ensure SLA and service performance across all acquired sites, encompassing on-time shipment rates, order accuracy, exception rates, and overall fulfillment reliability at the portfolio level.
• Collaborate closely with M&A Integrations to synchronize operational readiness with customer migration timelines, proactively addressing site-level obstacles that affect go-live readiness or service continuity.
• Oversee the rollout of the Stord WMS across acquired sites, coordinating with Product and Engineering on implementation sequencing, training, and hypercare support to guarantee a seamless transition without customer disruption.
• Identify and escalate necessary investments in capital, headcount, or systems required to stabilize or scale acquired operations, backed by clear business cases and ROI timelines.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture throughout the acquired portfolio by enhancing Site GM capabilities, reinforcing accountability standards, and establishing consistent operating discipline across diverse legacy environments.
• At least 7 years of experience in fulfillment, 3PL, or logistics operations, including a minimum of 3 years managing multi-site teams with direct site leadership responsibility.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership in a fulfillment or distribution setting, demonstrating an ability to improve labor productivity, control costs, and meet financial plans.
• Experience in leading post-acquisition integration or operational turnarounds, successfully transitioning inherited operations from acquisition to target performance within specified timelines.
• Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of operational KPIs, capable of diagnosing performance gaps and developing data-driven recovery plans.
• Proven ability to quickly establish trust and credibility with inherited site teams and lead change in environments lacking pre-existing alignment.
• Experience working in matrixed organizations, collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Engineering, CX, and People teams to achieve outcomes without direct authority.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and rapid pace; experience working in environments where processes and playbooks are developed in real time.
• Experience leading WMS implementation or migration in active fulfillment environments with minimal disruption to customer operations (Bonus Points).
• Familiarity with modern WMS platforms utilized in mid-market or enterprise fulfillment networks (Bonus Points).
• Background in PE-backed, VC-backed, or high-growth environments with limited resources and a high execution velocity (Bonus Points).
• Exposure to roll-up or acquisition-heavy operating models, including diligence through the first 90 days of integration execution (Bonus Points).
• Established network in 3PL, e-commerce fulfillment, or logistics ecosystems (carriers, labor providers, fulfillment tech vendors) (Bonus Points).
