Director, LATAM Carrier Relations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of carrier relations specialists throughout the LATAM region.

• Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to assess market trends and customer needs.

• Co-create country-specific supply strategies tailored for individual LATAM markets.

• Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with regional and local carriers and suppliers.

• Negotiate cost-efficient solutions, enhance coverage, and improve service delivery.

• Navigate through local telecommunications regulations and shifts in policy.

• Adapt Twilio's supply strategy while ensuring compliance across LATAM territories.

• Implement and track localized KPIs for supplier performance, route quality, and cost efficiency.

• Act as an escalation point to resolve regional carrier and supplier service issues.

• Minimize operational disruptions and uphold high service reliability.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the telecommunications services sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing carrier relations.

• In-depth knowledge of LATAM telecommunications markets, local carrier ecosystems, and regional regulatory frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience working alongside Sales and Go-To-Market teams to align infrastructure/supply strategies with revenue demands.

• Strong negotiation, influence, and communication abilities in complex multi-country settings.

• A data-driven and analytical approach to decision-making and route optimization.

• Proficiency in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Familiarity with essential communication protocols and standards, such as SS7, ISUP, MAP, and SIP, is preferred.
