This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while enhancing and sustaining relationships with current investment management clients.
• Provide all-encompassing services that include public funds investment, client education, presentations, reporting, and regular meetings.
• Conduct informed presentations to Councils, Boards, and investment committees regarding California CLASS and related offerings.
• Collaborate closely with senior team members on sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring smooth follow-up with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Represent the firm at local industry conferences and associations to boost visibility and engagement.
• Assess and provide guidance on client investment policies.
• Create innovative approaches for educating clients and prospects about current market trends and investment opportunities.
• Keep precise call reports, prospect lists, and opportunities updated in the CRM system (Salesforce or similar preferred).
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, business development, or relationship management within the public sector.
• Familiarity with investable capital markets, especially fixed income funds, short/intermediate-term fixed income investments, and money market instruments is preferred.
• Proven success in business development with a history of securing long sales cycle investment management mandates.
• Ability to look beyond day-to-day responsibilities and formulate long-term growth strategies.
• Exceptional client-facing and presentation skills accompanied by strong investment acumen.
• Strong organizational capabilities with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications and related technologies.
• Unwavering integrity and the capacity to inspire confidence in clients and colleagues.
• Previous experience servicing local governments in California is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Current Series 7 & 63 licenses or willingness to obtain them is required.
