Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of two analysts dedicated to financial analysis, budgeting, reporting support, and data/report automation.

• Oversee the preparation and distribution of financial reports, operational reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for internal stakeholders.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

• Generate monthly financial analyses, variance reports, and commentary to aid leadership in decision-making.

• Create, automate, and continually enhance standardized financial reports.

• Develop complex one-time analyses and reporting packages related to orders, invoices, revenue, costs, customer activity, and other business metrics.

• Serve as a primary finance contact for ensuring reporting accuracy and data integrity.

• Collaborate across functions with Finance, Accounting, IT, Operations, Sales, and other teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• An active CPA designation is regarded as a significant advantage.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.

• Capability to utilize AI tools and effective prompting techniques to enhance efficiency, reporting quality, and analytical output.

• Prior experience in a Finance Leadership position, ideally within a multi-entity or digital-first organization.

• Strong technical proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
