
Director, Integration and Improvement – Acute Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee enterprise-level integration strategies within acute care operations.
• Act as a subject matter expert for acute care domains at the enterprise level.
• Collaborate with teams across enterprise, regional, facility, clinical, operational, finance, performance excellence, project management, and benefit realization.
• Assist in the development of standardized operating models, governance frameworks, workflows, performance metrics, and implementation guides.
• Identify and validate opportunities related to margin enhancement, throughput, length of stay, avoidable days, care progression, inpatient capacity, clinical variation, cost per case, and operational efficiency.
• Employ data-driven performance improvement techniques to evaluate root causes and prioritize opportunities.
• Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators.
• Aid benefit realization by defining opportunity logic, validating assumptions, tracking progress, and identifying risks.
• Convert complex operational, clinical, and financial data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional teams and working groups that support acute care transformation efforts.
• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders, decision-making processes, accountability, and execution.
• Ensure alignment of acute care initiatives with population health, utilization, readmission, and continuum-of-care priorities.
• Develop and implement change management strategies along with new workflows and operating models.
• Identify obstacles to change, escalation requirements, and operational risks.
• Promote the dissemination of leading practices throughout various regions and facilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Finance, or related field.
• Seven years of experience in acute care operations, integration management, performance improvement, healthcare consulting, enterprise transformation, or related fields without a master’s degree.
• Proven experience collaborating with enterprise, regional, and facility-level teams to align initiatives with organizational goals.
• Strong knowledge of acute care operations, hospital throughput, care progression, utilization management, care management, inpatient operations, perioperative services, command center/transfer center operations, and performance improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams, manage intricate projects, influence senior stakeholders, and drive measurable operational and financial improvements.
• Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in management consulting, large-scale health system transformation, enterprise performance improvement, or multi-hospital acute care operations is preferred.
• Experience working across diverse health systems to address complex operational, financial, and clinical performance issues.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, project management, change management, or other formal performance improvement methodologies.
• Additional experience in revenue cycle, supply chain, finance, or population health is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting/standing and keyboard usage required.
• Day Shift.
• Work schedule: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm.
