This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Serve as a strategic partner for Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to facilitate cross-functional decision-making.
• Oversee ad-hoc analyses for Thea’s OTC product lines as well as legacy Rx products.
• Provide strategic insights to brand teams based on relevant data and analyses to guide promotional priorities.
• Lead the analytics and research for annual brand planning.
• Convert business inquiries into analytical plans and deliver actionable insights.
• Create sample optimization plans based on inventory levels and business requirements.
• Identify KPIs necessary to monitor product performance and inform strategic recommendations.
• Integrate multiple data sources and competitive trends to assess risks and opportunities for the US market.
• Seek out innovative and creative methods to fulfill information needs, exploring new techniques to tackle business challenges.
• Proactively monitor product launch performance and propose data-driven solutions.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative primary market research projects from inception to completion to gain insights into HCP/patient preferences, behaviors, and trends in the eye care sector.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, medical) to guide research initiatives and ensure alignment with current strategies.
• Compile results into comprehensive presentations for senior leadership, translating research findings into actionable strategies.
• Develop both short-term and long-term product and market forecasts for OTC products based on sound assumptions, presenting recommendations to stakeholders within the organization.
• Assess and generate various forecasting scenarios to account for variability in assumptions.
• Ensure strong alignment on forecast assumptions and outcomes with supply chain, finance, and marketing teams.
• Create commercial assessments, forecasts, cost/benefit analyses, and cash flow models to evaluate pipeline assets as well as corporate development and acquisition opportunities.
• BA or BS degree (MBA or other advanced degree preferred).
• 10-12 years of progressive experience in insights and analytics roles within a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
• Strong proficiency in Excel is required.
• Experience in startups is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with data sources commonly utilized in biopharma, such as Symphony, IQVIA, Veeva, and claims data.
• Knowledge of primary market research methodologies, sampling techniques, and survey design.
• Working knowledge of SQL is preferred.
• Experience in the ophthalmology/optometric market is a plus.
• Proven ability to present to leadership and distill complex analyses into a cohesive narrative.
• Capable of operating autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to link analytics with overarching business questions and understand the connection between brand strategy and forecasts/analyses.
• Proficient in PowerPoint for presentations.
• Travel requirement: Approximately 10%, including overnight stays.
