This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team, which includes machinery sales representatives and members of the aftermarket sales/service team.
• Set clear performance objectives, sales strategies, and professional development plans.
• Promote collaboration between machinery and aftermarket teams to provide comprehensive solutions for customers.
• Create and implement a regional sales strategy that aligns with the company's objectives for both capital equipment and aftermarket business sectors.
• Assess market trends, customer requirements, and competitor actions to uncover new business opportunities.
• Manage key account relationships, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
• Work alongside marketing and product management to synchronize regional initiatives with national campaigns and product launches.
• Propel new machinery sales by identifying, qualifying, and securing new clients in the plastics processing industry.
• Advocate for aftermarket offerings such as spare parts, service contracts, machine retrofits, and training programs.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences to boost visibility and enhance brand reputation.
• Oversee regional sales budgets, forecasts, and manage expense control.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including bookings, margins, and market share growth.
• Ensure profitable sales expansion while adhering to pricing and discounting policies.
• Cultivate strong relationships with OEMs, molders, processors, and key decision-makers throughout the territory.
• Serve as the regional voice of the customer to internal teams to facilitate product enhancements and service improvements.
• Guarantee a smooth customer journey from the initial sale through to post-installation support.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Over 8 years of experience in capital equipment sales within the plastics industry or industrial manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing sales teams and achieving growth objectives.
• Strong technical knowledge of plastics processing machinery (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or thermoforming).
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (50%).
