This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Tecsys software related to pharmacy operations, purchasing workflows, inventory management, regulatory obligations, and current industry trends.
• Sustain a profound understanding of pharmacy market dynamics, operational hurdles, and changing customer expectations.
• Offer expert advice on pharmacy regulations and standards, encompassing DSCSA, 340B, controlled substances, medication traceability, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Management to convert pharmacy workflows and market demands into scalable software functionalities.
• Assist in defining optimal product behaviors for pharmacy-specific workflows, which include:
• pharmacy purchasing and sourcing strategies
• medication procurement and wholesaler ordering
• contract compliance and purchasing optimization
• inventory optimization
• replenishment
• shortage mitigation and substitutions
• lot and expiry management
• integrations for pharmacy automation.
• Assess solution designs to confirm alignment with actual pharmacy operations.
• Support the Engineering team by providing requirements and clarifications for intricate pharmacy-related projects.
• Facilitate strategic sales opportunities by validating prospect needs and showcasing pharmacy domain expertise.
• Engage in customer discovery sessions, executive dialogues, and strategic account interactions.
• Assist in positioning Tecsys solutions in relation to market requirements and competitive options.
• Advise implementation and services teams on workflow design, best practices, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to minimize unnecessary customization by advocating for scalable best-practice workflows.
• Aid in resolving complex customer issues and managing strategic escalations.
• Keep track of emerging trends in pharmacy technology, automation, analytics, and AI.
• Help pinpoint strategic opportunities for product investment, partnerships, and innovation.
• Provide insights from the pharmacy domain to support long-term product strategy and market positioning.
• Extensive hands-on experience in hospital pharmacy, health system pharmacy, pharmaceutical distribution, or pharmacy operations.
• Formal education in Pharmacy, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• Pharmacist designation or pharmacy degree is highly preferred.
• Strong comprehension of pharmacy supply chain and purchasing concepts, including:
• pharmacy purchasing and procurement
• wholesaler ordering
• GPO and contract purchasing
• 340B purchasing workflows
• medication lifecycle management
• inventory control
• replenishment strategies
• shortages and substitutions
• lot traceability and expiration management
• Robust working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, such as DSCSA and 340B.
• Capability to translate intricate operational challenges into structured, scalable software and workflow solutions.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and product teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to influence across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
• Licensed pharmacist with clinical or operational pharmacy experience is an advantage.
• Experience in managing pharmacy purchasing, contract compliance, GPO purchasing, or optimizing medication spending within a hospital or health system is a plus.
• Background in integrated delivery networks or large health systems is an advantage.
• Familiarity with pharmacy automation technologies such as automated dispensing cabinets, robotics, packaging, or fulfillment systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of healthcare supply chain platforms, ERP systems, or pharmacy information systems is a plus.
• Experience with analytics, optimization, or AI technologies applied to healthcare operations is advantageous.
• Background in healthcare technology, SaaS, or enterprise software environments is a plus.
