This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Oversee the implementation and learning process for the Accelerating Completion of Mathematics and English (ACME) initiative.
• Act as the project team leader for ACME.
• Create and manage ACME workstreams that are in harmony with JFF’s mission, project objectives, and state-level priorities.
• Assist state leadership teams in defining policy or goals, establishing shared metrics, setting reporting expectations, and ensuring sustainable implementation conditions.
• Collaborate and provide guidance to public open-access institutions, faculty, and staff regarding placement practices, course structures, mathematics pathways, and corequisite supports.
• Employ an equity-centered approach in implementation decision-making.
• Anticipate potential challenges in implementation, propose solutions, and enhance delivery based on partner feedback and project data.
• Develop communication plans, decision-making points, roles, and follow-through processes across workstreams.
• Monitor milestones, risks, partner commitments, and emerging insights; escalate issues and suggest adjustments as necessary.
• Assist in funder stewardship, reporting, proposal development, and identifying opportunities to broaden ACME’s impact.
• Organize and lead the ACME cross-state Community of Practice.
• Convert implementation experiences into narratives, presentations, products, and recommendations.
• Connect ACME partners with the ELEVATE Postsecondary Network.
• Contribute to ELEVATE convenings, learning forums, and dissemination efforts.
• Engage in assigned ELEVATE-related projects such as EPCHA.
• Help shape the Community of Practice design, provide technical assistance, and coordinate with partners.
• Collaborate with the Associate Vice President to create proposals, concept notes, and materials for funders.
• Aid in funder cultivation through insights, storytelling, and briefings.
• Proven experience in leading or contributing to postsecondary or education-centered initiatives.
• Familiarity with project management, technical assistance, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and translating implementation insights into practical products or recommendations.
• Strong passion for JFF’s mission and guiding principles.
• Commitment to values and practices of inclusion, belonging, and well-being.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to exemplify inclusive leadership and work productively with a diverse range of colleagues.
• Proficient in fostering positive, collaborative work environments and supporting employee development.
