This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure strategic health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and healthcare quality management for a single product with multiple indications or for various products within a therapeutic area, utilizing innovative methodologies and study designs.
• Proactively generate value evidence to support brand value propositions, fulfill evidence requirements for our customers, minimize net price erosion, and enhance product reimbursement, formulary positioning, and utilization.
• Offer strategic HEOR guidance to both internal and external cross-functional stakeholders.
• Provide HEOR direction and recommendations to U.S. Pipeline Marketing, U.S. Marketing, Medical Affairs, and MAPOR, ensuring incorporation of U.S. HEOR perspectives and payer/organized provider evidence needs into Phase II/III clinical development programs and Phase IV (PMO) programs to maximize the value positioning of BI assets.
• Continuously monitor and update the HEOR and Healthcare Quality strategy.
• Oversee the evaluation of comparative effectiveness research (CER) requirements impacting BI products and guide the integration of payer needs into HEOR and Phase IV research plans.
• Ensure that HEOR value endpoints and evidence requirements of U.S. decision-makers are integrated into global clinical development programs and global HEOR strategies.
• Represent the evidentiary requirements of U.S. health plans and health systems in relevant global and local cross-functional teams and meetings to inform brand strategies and tactics and drive U.S. evidence plans for health plans and health systems.
• Initiate and oversee the development of new processes and standard operating procedures (SOP) pertinent to HEOR while customizing existing systems.
• Mentor and inspire HEOR team members.
• PhD in a relevant discipline or a Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a clinical field (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, nursing) with formal training in HEOR (e.g., Master's Degree or Fellowship).
• At least ten (10) years of experience (including pre- and post-doctoral experience) in managed markets, health economics, outcomes research, and population health management demonstrating significant contributions across these disciplines.
• Two to three (2-3) years of experience in project leadership.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Strong mathematical/statistical capabilities, robust analytical skills, and medical/pharmacological knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead strategically.
• Ability to approach HEOR research from both scientific and business perspectives is essential.
• Effectively work across functions and globally with strong problem-solving and communication/negotiation skills.
• Extensive expertise in pharmacoeconomic analyses, patient-reported outcomes, observational research (both prospective and retrospective), and their application to pharmaceutical evaluation, including a solid understanding of statistical methods.
• Familiarity with claims/electronic medical record databases, statistical software, and programming skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with well-developed multi-cultural sensitivity.
• Proactive, highly responsible, and accountable.
• Able to recommend improvements and alternative solutions to address issues.
• Knowledge of key laws and regulations governing BIPI customer communications, as well as policies and procedures relevant to BIPI HEOR activities.
• Understanding of industry best practices related to HEOR activities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
• Willingness to undergo a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
