This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and oversee the human capital infrastructure at Sonatype.
• Revolutionize the People Operations function into an automated, high-efficiency business utility.
• Spearhead the advancement of the global People Operations operating model to enhance scalability, consistency, operational leverage, and the overall employee experience.
• Promote simplification and standardization of global HR processes, policies, workflows, and service delivery models.
• Minimize manual operational dependencies through automation and self-service capabilities.
• Aid in the creation of scalable operating practices that diminish organizational friction while boosting speed.
• Manage global payroll, benefits administration, and core People Operations processes across various regions.
• Proven experience in leading global People Operations, Total Rewards, HR systems, and operational infrastructure within a complex, international setting.
• Demonstrated history of modernizing, scaling, or reconstructing HR operational architecture, systems, workflows, and service delivery models.
• Extensive compensation expertise is essential, including experience in guiding compensation strategy, job architecture, leveling, salary structures, market benchmarking, and annual compensation planning processes.
• Must be able to function as the primary compensation subject matter expert for the organization, providing strategic guidance, analytical modeling, governance, and operational leadership without a dedicated in-house compensation team.
• Strong background in leading HR technology strategy, optimizing HRIS, implementing systems, automating workflows, redesigning operational processes, and managing data governance initiatives.
• Experience in driving automation, AI enablement, self-service strategies, or digital transformation projects within HR or enterprise operations is highly preferred.
• Solid operational leadership experience in payroll, benefits, compliance, employee lifecycle operations, and global service delivery.
• Proven ability to simplify complex issues, reduce operational friction, and develop scalable operational models in expanding organizations.
• Strong analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management abilities across executive, technical, and operational teams.
• Experience in high-growth, transformation-focused, or rapidly scaling environments is preferred.
• Strong program management, prioritization, and execution leadership capabilities.
• Ability to juggle strategic transformation initiatives with operational execution and daily delivery responsibilities.
