This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Direct the global Facilities Management Projects Center of Excellence and provide support to the network of FM Project resources.
• Formulate and implement a long-term global Facilities Management Projects strategy that aligns with organizational objectives, business expansion, capital planning, and operational requirements.
• Set short-term strategic priorities to expedite transformation, enhance delivery effectiveness, and achieve annual project execution goals.
• Recognize trends, risks, capacity deficiencies, and opportunities for innovation to facilitate strategic modifications.
• Develop a capability roadmap that encompasses talent development, technology integration, process innovation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Business Unit finance and capital planning on operating plans, budgets, and performance projections.
• Supervise the execution of over 5,000 annual projects, which account for more than $1B in expenditure.
• Streamline delivery teams and third-party providers while creating scalable resourcing models.
• Establish best practices, standardized procedures, solution frameworks, and enterprise reporting through the FM Projects COE.
• Create a global data dictionary, project playbooks, standard work, and uniform guidelines.
• Aid in transformation, change management, communication, and site-level adoption.
• Partner with regional leadership to cultivate regional Communities of Practice that adhere to COE standards.
• Propel initiatives aimed at reducing complexity, standardizing workflows, enhancing efficiency, and bolstering global alignment.
• Work closely with Project Delivery to achieve integrated end-to-end project delivery.
• Create estimating tools, cost-history databases, and streamlined estimating methodologies.
• Implement dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and performance metrics for governance and data-informed decision-making.
• Establish project closeout requirements, including punch-list completion, operational transfers, as-built documentation, and warranty tracking.
• Develop standardized intake procedures to simplify customer requests.
• Provide executive-level reporting and performance insights to senior management.
• Maintain collaborative relationships across operations, real estate, finance, procurement, Project Delivery, and regional leadership.
• Travel up to 20–30% both domestically and internationally.
• Typically possess 14+ years of project management experience.
• Have 14+ years of experience in developing long-term strategic plans and short-term execution frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing global teams.
• Proven experience in managing global teams and third-party delivery partners.
• Background in driving transformation, standardization, and operational excellence.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education in lieu of a degree.
• Preference for experience in global corporate real estate, multi-site operations, or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with integrated project delivery systems, BI tools, and portfolio management platforms is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20–30% domestically and internationally.
• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.
