This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
β’ Act as the enterprise leader responsible for the performance of Divert's biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) assets across all operational facilities.
β’ This position is tasked with optimizing asset availability, methane recovery, gas quality, safety, and lifecycle value by collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology partners.
β’ Provides strategic technical guidance, fosters continuous improvement, establishes enterprise standards, and ensures that Divert's gas assets consistently achieve top-tier performance.
β’ Own the enterprise strategy for gas management and RNG assets, encompassing gas collection, compression, upgrading, CO2 removal, gas quality, pipeline injection, flares, analyzers, and related utility systems.
β’ Collaborate closely with Operations and Maintenance to enhance RNG performance by creating enterprise standards for operation, maintenance, commissioning, critical spare parts, preventive maintenance, operating procedures, and asset documentation.
β’ Establish and monitor performance metrics and benchmarks across all operating facilities, identifying trends and sharing best practices throughout the organization.
β’ Develop a long-term strategy for gas asset performance, including lifecycle planning, equipment standardization, technology selection, and recommendations for capital improvements.
β’ Lead investigations into root causes of significant production losses and equipment failures, coordinating internal teams and external partners to implement lasting corrective actions and hold vendors accountable for their performance, warranty, and service quality.
β’ Oversee external engineering resources that support operating facilities, ensuring that work is appropriately scoped, technically sound, and in alignment with Divert's enterprise standards.
β’ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in supporting, operating, maintaining, optimizing, or commissioning industrial gas handling, RNG, biogas, or similar process facilities.
β’ Proven track record of enhancing operational performance across multiple facilities.
β’ Experience in influencing cross-functional organizations without direct authority.
β’ Proficient in managing OEMs, engineering consultants, specialty contractors, and technology vendors.
β’ Strong understanding of industrial asset management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and lifecycle planning.
β’ Excellent communication, organizational, and business acumen with the ability to translate technical matters into operational and capital priorities.
