This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee Financial Planning Processes.
• Manage the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning activities for Global Enabling Functions, ensuring they align with corporate goals, strategic priorities, and resource needs.
• Act as the main finance partner to executive leaders in Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Corporate Affairs, and other enabling sectors, offering financial insights that facilitate strategic decision-making and investment prioritization.
• Lead the analysis and provide recommendations concerning headcount, operational expenses, capital investments, organizational structure, and productivity initiatives to enhance return on investment and operational efficiency.
• Create and disseminate management reports, key performance indicators, and business analytics that highlight trends, risks, opportunities, and financial performance drivers, enabling prompt actions and informed choices.
• Direct financial assessments and business case formulation for strategic projects, including scenario analysis, investment evaluations, outsourcing decisions, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Recognize and execute process enhancements, automation prospects, and reporting upgrades that boost transparency, scalability, and decision-support capabilities across the global organization.
• Collaborate with regional and functional teams in the U.S., Europe, China, and emerging markets to promote uniform planning assumptions, reporting standards, and financial governance.
• Present financial analyses, recommendations, and strategic trade-offs to senior executives, assisting in shaping priorities and optimizing the allocation of company resources.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; MBA or CPA is preferred.
• BA/BA Degree with over 10 years of relevant experience in a financial planning role, or MA/MS/MBA with over 7 years of experience, ideally within the pharma or biotech sector.
• Strong planning, reporting, and analytical abilities with proven business and systems impact in prior roles.
• Excellent computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
• Capability to handle large datasets from various systems to derive insights and generate reporting.
• Experience with financial systems, including proficiency in ERP (SAP or Oracle) and planning/reporting tools (e.g., TM1, Hyperion, Adaptive, etc.).
