Director, Forward Deployed Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete data integration process for 2–4 health system partners.

• Lead a team of 2–3 Forward Deployed Engineers.

• Act as the primary technical liaison for your partners’ data and IT teams.

• Design and develop data pipelines for ingesting Epic Clarity data.

• Work collaboratively with the Product, AI Engineering, and Data Science teams.

• Promote ongoing enhancement of integration patterns, tools, and technical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a data engineer or in an engineering leadership role.

• In-depth knowledge of Epic Clarity/Caboodle data models.

• Expertise in Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake), SQL Server, and Azure cloud services.

• Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 healthcare interoperability standards.

• Exceptional communication skills for executive-level client interactions.

• Consultant mentality.

• Proficient in critical thinking.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
