Director, Forward Deployed AI Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead a Forward Deployed AI engineering team to implement AI-driven workflow enhancements across multiple business functions.

• Collaborate closely with the AI Platform team to ensure a smooth transition of workflows to long-term management.

• Oversee deployments from initial discovery to production, including workflow design, agent construction, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.

• Act as the main point of contact for department heads during AI initiatives.

• Maintain a prioritized list of AI and automation opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with LLM and agent behavior, including prompting, context management, tool usage, RAG, MCP, evaluations, and failure modes.

• Solid knowledge of APIs, webhooks, SQL, Python scripting, and cloud computing platforms.

• Experience managing agents in a production environment with formal KPI tracking, evaluation frameworks, and observability standards.

• Proven history of leading technical teams while being an active technical contributor.

• Ability to build trust with senior business stakeholders and convert their objectives into a practical roadmap with clear sequencing and trade-offs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
