Director, Forward Deployed AI Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of Forward Deployed AI engineers to implement AI-driven workflow transformations across multiple business functions.

• Collaborate closely with the AI Platform team to facilitate a smooth transition of workflows to long-term management.

• Oversee deployments from initial discovery to production, including workflow design, agent development, and human-in-the-loop validation checkpoints.

• Act as the main point of contact for department heads during AI projects.

• Manage a prioritized list of AI and automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with LLM and agent behavior, including prompting, context management, tool utilization, RAG, MCP, evaluations, and failure modes.

• Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, SQL, Python scripting, and cloud computing platforms.

• Proven experience operating agents in production environments with established KPI tracking, evaluation frameworks, and observability criteria.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams while also being an impactful technical contributor.

• Capacity to build trust with senior business stakeholders and convert their objectives into a clear, actionable roadmap with well-defined sequencing and trade-offs.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
