Director, Foodservice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the formulation and implementation of Ferrara's growth strategy across various channels such as Foodservice, Vending, and QSR/Chain Restaurants.

• Develop customer strategies and enhance channel partnerships.

• Propel profitable and sustainable growth within a complex and dynamic business environment.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams across Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and additional departments.

• Engage in product development tailored to the specific needs of the foodservice sector.

• Oversee a small team while actively participating in essential customer relationships and business opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of progressive sales experience in CPG, Food & Beverage, Foodservice, Out of Home, QSR, or related sectors.

• Significant experience in Out of Home, Foodservice, or QSR channels.

• Direct experience engaging with national or regional QSR chains at the corporate level.

• Proficiency in QSR menu development, LTO programs, product specification processes, and collaboration with culinary, R&D, or innovation teams.

• Background in working with foodservice distributors such as Sysco, US Foods, or regional distributors.

• Knowledge of military and government-related sales channels, including DeCA, AAFES, NEXCOM, or similar institutional customers.

• Experience in managing brokers, operators, and third-party channel partners in complex selling environments.

• Established relationships within key Out of Home, Foodservice, QSR, military, vending, hotel/lodging, theater, or broker networks are highly desirable.

• Previous leadership experience, ideally managing a small team while retaining direct ownership of strategic customers and business development initiatives.

• Willingness to travel approximately 40–50% to support customers, field execution, broker partners, and geographically diverse channel opportunities.
