This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Act as a senior liaison for financial services clients concerning capital markets issues.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with General Counsel, Heads of Legal, Business Stakeholders, and Operations leaders.
• Comprehend client goals and create customized legal and operational solutions.
• Recognize opportunities for enhanced services and support business development efforts.
• Oversee the execution of large-scale capital markets projects in the following areas:
• - Debt Capital Markets (DCM)
• - Equity Capital Markets (ECM)
• - Structured Finance
• - Securitization
• - Derivatives and ISDA documentation
• - Loan and Credit Transactions
• - Private Credit and Leveraged Finance
• Supply subject matter expertise on transaction lifecycle management, documentation, regulatory requirements, and market practices.
• Assist clients throughout transaction execution, remediation, repapering, and regulatory change initiatives.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams composed of lawyers, legal analysts, project managers, legal engineers, and consultants.
• Offer coaching, mentoring, and professional development assistance.
• Oversee resource allocation and ensure quality delivery across various client engagements.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Advise clients on initiatives for transforming their legal operating models.
• Evaluate and redesign legal and operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Spearhead change management and implementation programs.
• Develop solutions that utilize technology, automation, and AI to improve legal service delivery.
• Collaborate with Legal Engineering and Technology teams to identify automation possibilities.
• Support the rollout of AI-enabled solutions within legal and compliance functions.
• Propel the adoption of data-driven methodologies in legal service delivery.
• Contribute to proposals, pitches, and client presentations.
• Aid in revenue growth by expanding existing client relationships.
• Cultivate thought leadership and market insights within the capital markets sector.
• Represent Factor at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in:
• - Investment banking legal functions
• - Capital markets law firms
• - Alternative legal service providers
• - Financial services consulting
• - In-house legal teams within financial institutions
• Comprehensive understanding of capital markets products and documentation.
• Strong experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in leading complex projects and transformation initiatives.
