Director – Financial Planning & Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable strategic finance partner for senior executives across various departments.

• Convert business performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

• Impact decisions related to headcount, operational expenditures, resource distribution, investment priorities, and profitability.

• Lead the annual operating planning process, rolling forecasts, monthly outlook updates, and scenario analyses.

• Oversee and nurture a high-performing FP&A team, which includes recruitment, coaching, performance management, prioritization, and career development.

• Set up operating rhythms, schedules, and accountability measures within planning, forecasting, and business review processes.

• Take ownership of hands-on financial modeling and assist in advancing Adaptive Insights planning models, reporting capabilities, process enhancements, and user engagement.

• Provide reporting and analytical support to senior leadership, focusing on budget-versus-actual comparisons, KPIs, operational trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Enhance visibility into revenue and margin performance, encompassing both recurring and non-recurring revenue drivers and margin trends.

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and business leaders to improve data quality, reporting infrastructure, financial processes, and the visualization of essential performance insights.

• Support financial decision-making for investment proposals, profitability initiatives, and other cross-departmental priorities.

• Promote ongoing enhancements in FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related quantitative field.

• Over 8 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and/or budgeting.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Strongly collaborative approach to team work.

• Proven track record of achieving objectives and delivering results.

• Proficient in accounting software and excellent systems skills.

• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ideally experienced with Salesforce and Adaptive Insights.

• Detail-oriented team player with a high degree of self-direction.

• Accountable for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Granicus information assets.

• Responsible for ensuring data privacy and completing mandatory privacy training.
