Director, Finance & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of the Company’s financial modeling, forecasting, reporting, and preparation of materials for the Board.

• Take charge of strategy and insights related to financial decision-making and planning.

• Concentrate on the Company’s global business reporting, Long Range Planning, forecasting, planning, modeling, and support for senior management.

• Aid in building a finance organization that thoroughly understands key business drivers.

• Provide financial plans and analyses that facilitate effective and insightful decision-making.

• Emphasize the continuous enhancement of financial tools, business modeling, and financial planning processes.

• Cultivate strong relationships with executive management and key leadership throughout the Company.

• Develop, own, and sustain the vision for Power BI and data visualization.

• Set standards, roadmaps, and best practices for BI strategy, governance, and self-service analytics.

• Direct the financial planning and operations on both an annual and quarterly basis, formally and informally.

• Ensure the accuracy of budgets and forecasts through careful oversight of internal and external financial forecasts, budgets, and assist with the creation of Long Range Plans.

• Facilitate an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and budgets aligned with key corporate objectives.

• Manage the three financial statement model, including rolling forecasts and a three-year plan.

• Oversee financial planning tools and technology, leading their implementation and enhancement in collaboration with our systems team and other finance and accounting professionals.

• Provide essential insights to senior management regarding the Company’s financial performance, including actionable recommendations and collaborative development of operating policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with executives to convert business objectives into actionable, insight-driven dashboards and analytical frameworks.

• Prepare executive presentations, encompassing financial results and comprehensive business analyses with recommendations for senior management.

• Develop and implement frameworks for effective investment decision-making to ensure alignment with shareholder value creation.

• Oversee the architecture, data flows, semantic models, and governance of the enterprise Power BI environment.

• Ensure scalability, security, and performance across the Power BI ecosystem.

• Work with the Business Applications, IT, and Data Engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, data quality, and underlying data models.

• Prioritize and manage a portfolio of BI projects, balancing the needs of the enterprise and various departments.

• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A business-oriented undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, or Accounting.

• An MBA, CFA, and/or CPA is preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles within high-growth companies or at foundational firms such as investment banking, transaction services, private equity, equity research, or consulting.

• Experience in the Software/SaaS industry is preferred.

• Core competencies in financial planning, financial & economic modeling and analysis, and capital planning (or a strong understanding of these concepts, if coming from a foundational experience).

• A well-rounded leadership and management background, including extensive financial planning experience and a solid track record in related areas such as financial reporting, project financial analysis, and strategic planning in public companies – if not directly from a foundational experience.

• Previous experience in implementing and using an enterprise-wide planning tool is a plus.
