Director, Field Intake – Business Requirements

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide, mentor, and cultivate a team of intake and requirements specialists, fostering robust expertise in requirements engineering, stakeholder exploration, and the translation of business needs to technical specifications.

• Define clear quality benchmarks (templates, definition-of-ready, acceptance criteria, traceability) to ensure that requirements are consistently buildable and verifiable.

• Manage the unified CE-facing intake process for workflow and digital requests, guaranteeing that all requests follow a single structured pathway and are accurately shaped from the outset.

• Execute transparent triage and prioritization methods to ensure demand is evaluated uniformly and organized using explicit criteria (value, readiness, capacity, dependencies).

• Transform field requirements into technical-ready requirements packages.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is necessary from a four-year college or university; a STEM degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems) is highly preferred.

• Over 8 years of experience in business-to-technology translation, product/requirements leadership, workflow facilitation, or technical program delivery within complex, matrixed environments in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured sectors.

• Demonstrated experience in people leadership (hiring, coaching, performance management) with a proven ability to establish a high-quality requirements function.

• Proven track record in generating requirements that engineering teams can execute (clear scope, acceptance criteria, constraints, dependencies).

• Strong technical proficiency across digital workflows and modern enablement (e.g., CRM/workflow concepts, automation patterns, AI-enabled experiences), with the capability to convert field requirements into actionable technical tasks.
