Director, Field CTO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Serving as the primary point of contact for security products within the region while supporting Sales initiatives.

• Cultivating a network of customers throughout the region to gather insights on Product Roadmaps and inform decision-making.

• Leading targeted interactions with journalists and Industry Analysts to bolster the efforts of the PR/AR teams.

• Presenting at events to address industry trends in security as well as the Akamai Product Portfolio.

• Providing education to the region's customer-facing teams on emerging trends in the security sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 12 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Enjoy collaborating across functions with field teams, customers, partners, and C-Suite executives (including CISOs) to shape product strategy.

• Demonstrate expertise in edge-native security, Zero Trust architecture, and reducing complex enterprise attack surfaces.

• Have a strong understanding of distributed & Workload Security: possess in-depth knowledge in securing various workloads, applying Zero Trust frameworks, and safeguarding edge and hybrid environments from emerging threats.

• Be familiar with AI Runtime Defense: understand the security challenges associated with live AI models and agentic workflows.

• Hold experience in advocating for and advancing cybersecurity, edge defense, and technical initiatives within the broader tech community.

• Exhibit an executive presence and the capability to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Have a background in building, managing, and developing high-performing teams.
