Director, Engineering – AI Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and develop key AI-driven product areas, such as Quote Agent, Product Studio, Submission Triage, and intelligent Content Management solutions.

• Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team of 9–10 engineers specializing in ML, software engineering, and data/analytics.

• Establish the technical vision and architecture for the agentic platform and autonomous systems.

• Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, architectural guidance, and occasional hands-on contributions.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Delivery teams to synchronize the engineering roadmap with business goals and launch impactful features.

• Serve as a strategic technical partner to go-to-market stakeholders, converting business objectives into scalable engineering strategies.

• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement as the engineering organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams of 15–20+ members.

• Extensive knowledge in B2B enterprise SaaS.

• Experience in early-stage startups is highly desirable.

• Strong background in shipping and maintaining AI-powered products in live environments.

• Experience in designing and deploying agentic systems, AI workflows, or large language model applications at scale.

• Demonstrated capability to build, manage, and empower multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across both technical and business domains.

• Full ownership and accountability for results.
