Director – Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on targets, competitive dynamics, and valuation context within your specific subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family proprietors, and senior executives within your established network.

• Assess confidential information memoranda and management presentations for sector-specific operational alignment and risk assessment.

• Engage in PE sponsor presentations when your subsector expertise and operational experience are pertinent.

• Offer operational due diligence insights on prospective companies.

• Counsel the Fireclay team on positioning and messaging for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as VP of Operations, COO, President, or CEO in a utility services operator, renewable developer, O&M platform, water utility, environmental services platform, or PE-backed energy infrastructure operator.

• At least fifteen years in energy-adjacent services with direct experience in multi-site or multi-region operations.

• Familiarity with regulated utility procurement, federal and state environmental compliance, or renewable project financing, depending on your subsector.

• Established network of connections with founders, family owners, senior executives, and PE professionals within your subsector.

• Ability to represent Fireclay in a professional manner to PE sponsors and management of target companies.

• Discretion in handling non-public information and competitive intelligence.

• Openness to work on a flexible, per-engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments.
