This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversees the policies, procedures, and initiatives of the Employee Relations department.
• Manages and resolves both simple and complex employee relations issues.
• Aids leaders in comprehending and implementing company policies regarding performance, discipline, and related matters.
• Provides counsel to employees on issues pertaining to applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws.
• Formulates and pursues new goals and objectives aimed at enhancing employee relations.
• Engages in communication with employees concerning employee relations issues.
• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements associated with the daily management of employees.
• Develops, reviews, and revises policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Collaborates and coordinates with HR Business Partners, MyHR, Employment Law, Payroll, Benefits & Compensation to ensure service excellence for employees.
• Creates HR programs, training sessions, and projects to meet business needs.
• Takes part in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to guarantee their effectiveness.
• Undertakes additional projects, process improvements, and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or a related field, or a combination of relevant work, military, and educational experience.
• Post-graduate studies are preferred.
• HR certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR/ER experience in a multi-state environment, including California and New York.
• Supervisory experience, including hiring, coaching, developing, and mentoring, is required.
• Proven ability to establish highly effective working relationships.
• Familiarity with HRIS (Workday preferred), reporting, and HR Analytics.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Project management skills with the capacity to complete projects independently.
• Professional maturity to manage sensitive information, uphold confidentiality, and make sound decisions.
