This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• Provide comprehensive leadership, strategic oversight, and daily management for large-scale educational technical assistance and capacity-building initiatives.
• Build and sustain strong, collegial partnerships with state education agencies and various clients.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments.
• Design and implement technical assistance tailored to client requirements.
• Monitor and adjust technical assistance efforts as necessary.
• Collaborate with project evaluators to gather and present evidence.
• Act as a liaison with clients.
• Lead and organize technical assistance teams to guarantee high-quality services for clients.
• Ensure alignment of project activities with federal priorities, performance metrics, and sanctioned scopes of work.
• Oversee complex budgets, federal reporting obligations, staff management, and ongoing improvements.
• Doctorate in education, social sciences, public administration, or other related fields.
• Over 10 years of experience working at the state and/or national level with K-12 education policies, regulations, and systems.
• More than 10 years of experience in developing and delivering technical assistance to state and district educators and leaders.
• A decade of experience conducting needs assessments and creating technical assistance that addresses client needs.
• Over 10 years of experience in producing high-quality technical assistance materials, such as information briefs, white papers, tools, presentations, and processes.
• At least 1 year of experience collaborating with multiple states in the region (VA, TN, KY, DE, or WV) to develop and implement initiatives.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing or directing large-scale federal grants or contracts.
• 3+ years of experience managing teams of up to 40 individuals, including personnel management duties.
• Proven experience working with diverse stakeholder groups in roles such as participant, content advisor, and technical assistance provider.
• In-depth content knowledge related to state education systems and policy issues, including assessment, accountability, college and career readiness, school turnaround, diverse learners, and educator development and evaluation.
• Experience in capacity building, coaching, and/or consultation.
• Experience working in VA, TN, KY, or WV.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and typical office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe Connect.
• Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Project management expertise, including managing complex budgets, federal reporting, staff oversight, and continuous improvement.
• Outstanding leadership and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
