Director, Delivery Excellence and Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the PMO for Irth’s Professional Services team.

• Create portfolio governance, delivery methodologies, processes, toolsets, and operating rhythms across various practices.

• Ensure portfolio transparency for active and upcoming engagements, including project health, milestones, risks, dependencies, budgets, and escalations.

• Lead resource and capacity planning efforts, encompassing staffing models, utilization targets, capacity forecasts, and resource distribution.

• Choose, implement, manage, and enhance the Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform.

• Set up and oversee workflows for project management, resource allocation, time tracking, billing, approvals, and reporting.

• Designate the PSA platform as the authoritative source for portfolio, resource, utilization, and delivery data.

• Create and sustain delivery playbooks, templates, processes, quality standards, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.

• Provide reports on utilization, project health, capacity, revenue predictions, margins, profitability, and delivery performance.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Practice Leads, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and IT on scoping, pricing, staffing, dependencies, and delivery effectiveness.

• Promote continuous improvement and implement scalable solutions to enhance predictability, efficiency, profitability, and customer outcomes.

• Represent PMO and Professional Services operations in cross-functional and customer-facing discussions as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Professional Services, program/project management, delivery operations, or a related role within enterprise software or technology companies.

• More than 6 years of experience leading a PMO, Professional Services Operations, or Delivery Operations function.

• Proficient in establishing, launching, or scaling a PMO with governance frameworks, delivery methodologies, operational cadences, and executive reporting.

• Practical experience in implementing, managing, and optimizing a Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform such as Kantata, Certinia/FinancialForce, Mavenlink, OpenAir, or similar tools.

• Skilled in designing PSA workflows and integrations for project initiation, resource requests, time tracking, approvals, reporting, and billing processes.

• Experienced in managing resource and capacity planning, utilization, forecasting, and staffing for a multi-practice Professional Services organization.

• Possess financial and operational insight, including delivery performance, margins, utilization, and revenue forecasting.

• Strong executive communication and presentation abilities.

• Capable of translating complex operational data into insights, recommendations, and business cases for C-suite stakeholders.

• Proficient in building relationships and influencing across Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, IT, and Professional Services.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on operational execution in a dynamic environment.
