This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the deal desk function for unique agreements.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Product, and Professional Services to design, price, and authorize intricate commercial contracts.
• Safeguard margin, ensure revenue recognition integrity, and enhance deal speed.
• Manage the deal desk playbook and automate approval workflows, margin assessments, and standard contract generation.
• Work alongside Sales leadership on pricing strategies, packaging, contract conditions, ramp deals, co-terming, and multi-year discount discounts.
• Provide guidance to Commercial teams on deal structures that expedite closure without compromising deal economics.
• Create innovative deal structures for significant, strategic clients.
• Assist in the evolution of CPQ configuration, pricing strategies, and quote processes.
• Act as the final escalation point for complex, non-standard, and strategic agreements.
• Take ownership of and enhance approval processes, deal desk submissions, and quote turnaround service level agreements (SLAs).
• Design and uphold the discount approval framework.
• Automate rules-based deal routing and establish auto-approval thresholds.
• Generate reports on cycle times, win/loss ratios based on deal structure, and approval delays.
• Examine deal-level margins and profitability against established thresholds.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to understand revenue recognition implications.
• Maintain margin guardrails and floor pricing models.
• Automate real-time, rules-driven margin and profitability evaluations within the quoting process.
• Monitor discount leakage and margin erosion trends and highlight risks to Finance and sales leadership.
• Work with Legal on contract redlines, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), order forms, and non-standard terms.
• Update contract templates, playbooks, and standard terms libraries.
• Automate the development of baseline contracts.
• Collaborate with Legal on Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and improvements to contracting workflows.
• Lead change management and enablement for new processes and frameworks across global teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7-10+ years of experience in deal desk management, pricing strategy, SaaS monetization, commercial strategy, finance, product strategy, or a related field.
• Experience in healthcare, enterprise software, cloud, or digital health is preferred.
• Strong understanding of SaaS commercial models, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)/Annual Contract Value (ACV), usage-based and hybrid pricing, multi-year discounts, co-terming, and renewal economics.
• Direct experience collaborating with Legal on contract redlines and negotiating non-standard commercial terms.
• Familiarity with subscription, consumption-based, platform, tiered, user-based, enterprise, and hybrid pricing structures.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Configure Price Quote (CPQ), and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.
• Ability to create executive-level business cases, pricing models, and dashboards.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and persuasion abilities.
• Proven capability to align with Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and senior leadership stakeholders.
• Experience in supporting complex enterprise software transactions, significant customer negotiations, or multi-product commercial agreements is preferred.
• Proficient in financial modeling, business intelligence, or data visualization tools.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed setting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
