Director – Cross-Functional Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in team operations and monitor progress towards strategic objectives by providing support within Finance, particularly in Procurement, Planning and Analysis, Grants Management, and Financial Systems.

• Take responsibility for ongoing operational tasks, including managing user access for Workday and Adaptive systems, as well as conducting quarterly data analyses.

• Aid the SMD, Real Estate Strategy & Finance Operations, with documentation, knowledge management, workflow enhancements, process improvements, and other operational priorities.

• Offer additional capacity for time-sensitive special projects, peak periods, vacancies, and leaves within Finance functions.

• Provide technical support and data-entry assistance during the budgeting process.

• Assist with travel and expense management during times of heightened organizational travel.

• Support the documentation related to grants.

• Update training materials and resources for partner teams.

• Engage in monthly Finance meetings, team-building activities, and opportunities for professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in business operations, finance, strategy, project management, data analysis, or a comparable role.

• Demonstrated success in operating effectively across diverse teams.

• Strong expertise in financial and data analysis.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Experience with financial management systems like Workday and Adaptive Planning.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple varied projects and workstreams.

• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with colleagues and leaders throughout the organization.

• Capability to collaborate across teams, irrespective of formal reporting structures.

• Proficient in managing lateral and upward relationships to achieve desired outcomes.

• Comfortable navigating both strategic and tactical tasks.

• Willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings during peak times.

• Ability to travel for in-person events up to 1–2 times annually.

• Preferred: experience in financial planning, grants management, procurement, and/or financial systems.

• Preferred: background in conducting high-stakes financial analysis.
