This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take charge of essential functions aimed at enhancing lifecycle costs through various channels.
• Collaborate within the Preconstruction department alongside the Director of Preconstruction.
• Create a historical cost database and reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee the implementation of a Global Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Formulate and execute cost-fidelity strategies during the preconstruction phase.
• Assess portfolio-level budgets and deliver detailed cost reports to project stakeholders.
• Spearhead cost-saving initiatives throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate coordination among cross-functional teams to devise cost-saving solutions.
• Lead research and development efforts focusing on a cost- and schedule-first approach in product development.
• Propel stakeholder decision-making regarding cost-saving proposals.
• Examine cost data and trends to formulate cost-reduction strategies while upholding quality standards.
• Partner with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cost-reduction strategies and make necessary adjustments.
• Develop strategies for cost certainty to manage budget overruns and unforeseen expenses effectively.
• Establish and uphold contingency plans addressing cost uncertainties.
• Collaborate with general contractors to secure costs early in the development process.
• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in construction, business, or a technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in Preconstruction.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost management, preconstruction, or a related position in the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and creative-thinking abilities.
• Capability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects and collaborating effectively with internal staff, external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, and industry-standard estimating and scheduling software.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background screening.
