This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, initiate, and nurture relationships with Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy purchasers.

• Utilize established connections with energy managers, procurement leaders, sustainability teams, and senior executives to present Hanwha Energy’s solutions.

• Interact with power-intensive corporate clients through direct engagement to assess their energy, environmental, and infrastructure requirements in both the short and long term.

• Design and implement commercial frameworks that surpass conventional Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) models, addressing the intricate needs of clients such as rapid access to power, resource diversity, decarbonization, and cost efficiency.

• Guide cross-functional teams through the negotiation and execution of contracts, devising solutions for commercially and technically challenging issues.

• Prepare investment memorandums and accompanying materials for senior leadership.

• Collaborate with the Government Relations and Market Development teams to track and influence changes in interconnection, tariffs, market products, and other pertinent matters.

• Participate in industry groups and keep abreast of regulatory developments to uncover new opportunities, risks, and market solutions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in power marketing, origination, or sourcing energy for corporate energy buyers.

• A robust and actionable network of relationships with C&I buyers in at least one target region.

• Direct transaction experience within ERCOT, PJM, or CAISO, involving various deal structures.

• Expert knowledge of offtake structuring instruments, including Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs), financial hedges, tolling agreements, and emerging frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of U.S. utility-scale solar development, power markets, project financing, and customer segments.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, sustainability, finance, or a related field.

• Ability to swiftly engage with new tasks and adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic environment.

• Experience thriving in a geographically dispersed organization is advantageous.

• Exceptional interpersonal, time management, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time within North America.
