Director, Corporate Engagement – Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Work alongside the Corporate Engagement VP and leadership at Direct Relief to formulate and execute strategies for acquiring medical product donations on a global scale.

• Oversee a portfolio of relationships with corporate healthcare companies that support the initiatives and programs of Direct Relief.

• Supervise the assigned Corporate Engagement team, including members based both in the United States and internationally.

• Investigate healthcare companies’ Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies and their areas of therapeutic focus to pinpoint opportunities aligned with our mission.

• Assist in the ideation, development, and presentation of programmatic concepts and targeted requests.

• Provide valuable insights and context regarding factors that may impact Direct Relief’s ability to secure necessary resources.

• Identify and reach out to potential corporate partners; organize introductory calls and meetings; showcase Direct Relief’s capabilities and partnerships; manage ongoing correspondence and relationship cultivation.

• Conduct in-depth in-person meetings with leading healthcare companies to brief them on Direct Relief, review their support, assess impact, and explore growth opportunities.

• Serve as a representative of Direct Relief at industry conferences, forums, and events.

• Assist in the execution of donor communications that highlight healthcare companies in collaboration with the Communications team.

• Coordinate and occasionally lead donor site visits for healthcare companies, helping to document the impact of donations.

• Collaborate with various teams including Programs, Emergency Response, Pharmacy, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Communications.

• Work together on fundraising objectives with healthcare companies and assist in implementing strategies to secure contributions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multifaceted team environment.

• Experience interacting with multiple senior-level external stakeholders.

• Capacity to manage various competing interests and tasks while prioritizing effectively.

• Demonstrated cross-cultural leadership skills with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Comfortable engaging in public speaking and representing Direct Relief in public venues.

• Ability to earn the confidence and respect of an audience.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and task-oriented mindset.

• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce is a plus.

• Experience in generating reports and analyzing outcomes.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Willingness to travel by car, train, or airplane at short notice.

• Must successfully clear a toxicology screening.
