This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Contribute to Financial Success: Drive substantial financial results through signing agreements and achieving revenue goals.
• Ensure ongoing growth and profitability by managing margin expectations and expanding backlog.
• Assist in identifying, pursuing, and converting a pipeline of business development opportunities.
• Engage in project scoping and fee negotiations while ensuring profitability and managing risk effectively.
• Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to state and local governments, as well as K-12 and higher education institutions, guiding them through intricate technology and operational challenges.
• Establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with public sector leaders, including elected officials, department heads, and procurement officers.
• Lead C-level client interactions and consulting initiatives, ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs during deal engagements.
• Showcase credibility and expertise to provide guidance and execute complex consulting engagements.
• Enhance client satisfaction, measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS), and foster new relationship development; secure client references.
• Operational Excellence: Meet individual and team utilization targets.
• Oversee the design of intricate engagements and take charge of delivery oversight, ensuring exceptional performance and customer satisfaction.
• Leadership and Management: Inspire by example; promote a culture of continuous personal and professional growth while encouraging curiosity, innovation, and mutual support among team members, all while ensuring commercially focused and value-added outcomes are effectively executed.
• Strategic Contribution: Utilize industry and technological expertise to influence and advance the company's strategic initiatives. Align with Kyndryl’s strategic vision and contribute to its implementation. Foster external visibility and innovation, building a strong personal and organizational presence within the industry. Actively develop thought leadership and intellectual capital.
• Identify and pursue new business prospects within both existing and potential SLED accounts, with a solid understanding of California government budget cycles and fiscal year planning.
• Navigate public sector procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, sole-source justifications, and cooperative purchasing vehicles (such as NASPO, OMNIA, GSA schedules).
• Collaborate with internal teams to create customized proposals and presentations that comply with public sector regulations, security, and accessibility standards.
• Monitor state and local legislative, regulatory, and policy changes that may affect client priorities or open new opportunities.
• Proven ability to establish and capitalize on relationships with senior executives.
• Documented success in leading and executing complex projects with multidisciplinary teams in consulting, corporate, or public sector settings.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in driving revenue growth while managing margins effectively.
• Experience in managing or supporting significant business development activities with senior stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry trends and technological developments.
