This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and actively oversee a portfolio consisting of about 100-150 major gift prospects and benefactors.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors who are able to make annual philanthropic contributions ranging from $50,000 to $250,000+, focusing on expanding unrestricted support.
• Implement tailored donor strategies that enhance engagement through customized cultivation, executive interactions, site visits, salons, and exclusive XPRIZE experiences.
• Create and manage an annual fundraising pipeline that aligns with individual and organizational revenue objectives.
• Hold regular discovery meetings to unearth new philanthropic opportunities and grow XPRIZE's global benefactor network.
• Collaborate intimately with the Integrated Strategy, Strategic Philanthropy, Prize, and Executive Leadership teams to synchronize donor engagement strategies and blended fundraising opportunities when applicable.
• Work alongside Executive Leadership to prepare for donor meetings, cultivation events, and strategic travel initiatives.
• Represent XPRIZE at conferences, events, and donor gatherings to enhance organizational visibility and identify new fundraising prospects.
• Maintain precise forecasting, donor strategies, contact reports, and pipeline activities within Salesforce.
• Assist with community engagement initiatives, including salons, benefactor experiences, Visioneering, and other donor-focused events.
• Stay informed about philanthropic trends, wealth strategies, and emerging best practices in major gift fundraising.
• 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals.
• Demonstrated success in achieving ambitious annual fundraising targets.
• Experience managing a major gift portfolio independently from qualification through stewardship.
• Proven ability to establish trusted relationships with senior executives, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Master's degree is preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education on a year-for-year basis.
• Required experience in nonprofit philanthropy.
• Strong business acumen, including experience in managing fundraising forecasts and pipeline reporting.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM systems; proficiency in Salesforce is preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Remote-first environment (must reside and work in the United States).
