• Define the vision and strategic roadmap for Commercial Operations to support the launch of Deramiocel, encompassing sales operations, analytics, forecasting, incentive compensation, territory design, CRM, and commercial systems.
• Develop and lead a high-performing Commercial Operations team and operational model that is suited to a lean, launch-stage organization focused on rare diseases.
• Establish the CRM ecosystem (Veeva or Salesforce), incorporating configuration, targeting, call planning, sample management, and field reporting.
• Design the commercial data infrastructure — including data warehouse and aggregation strategies (Databricks, Snowflake), dashboard creation (Tableau, Power BI), and the integration of claims, specialty pharmacy, HUB, patient services, and distribution data.
• Oversee forecasting, demand planning, quota setting, territory alignment, and the design and administration of incentive compensation.
• Implement data governance, master data management, and data quality standards throughout the commercial organization.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, IT, Legal, and Compliance to synchronize commercial operations with enterprise objectives and ensure compliant execution.
• Manage field force enablement — including targeting, segmentation, call planning, field effectiveness analytics, and the operational aspects of commercial training.
• Create KPI and reporting frameworks that provide the Commercial Leadership Team and executive team with real-time insights into launch performance.
• Select, negotiate contracts, and oversee commercial operations vendors and service providers, including ownership of QBRs, SLA monitoring, and budget responsibilities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned periodically.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Over 12 years in biopharmaceutical commercial operations, including more than 5 years in a leadership capacity and direct experience with launching rare disease, advanced therapy, or specialty products.
• Deep Expertise: Proficient in sales operations, forecasting, incentive compensation, territory alignment, CRM deployment, and commercial data strategy (claims, specialty pharmacy, HUB, distribution).
• Executive Leadership: Proven track record in building commercial infrastructure from scratch, leading cross-functional projects, and managing strategic vendor partnerships.
