Director, Cloud Architecture & Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and lead a forward-deployed engineering capability that collaborates with customer technical and business teams to convert priority use cases into implemented solutions.

• Design, integrate, deploy, and validate AI agents and agentic workflows based on PLEXOS Intelligence within customer environments.

• Serve as the senior cloud and AI technical advisor, providing guidance to customers and prospects while engaging with executive and technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Sales on technical deal strategies, architecture workshops, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and pilot projects.

• Establish acceptance criteria and verify the accuracy, performance, security, and human-in-the-loop controls of deployed agents and solutions.

• Manage cloud reference architectures for PLEXOS Cloud, PLEXOS Intelligence, and related AI agents and products.

• Oversee pre-sales to Services transitions, including deployment plans, architecture decision records, risk registers, onboarding timelines, migration roadmaps, and delivery estimates.

• Set guidelines for agentic deployments in regulated environments, encompassing identity, permissions, tool-use boundaries, evaluation, observability, and audit trails.

• Provide cloud and AI architecture insights for RFIs, RFPs, security assessments, vendor risk evaluations, and proposals.

• Create reusable discovery frameworks, technical documentation, agent templates, deployment patterns, runbooks, and environment-as-code templates.

• Collaborate with Product Engineering to transform customer implementation patterns into supported product features, integrations, and deployment resources.

• Report to the Vice President, Solutions (Americas) within the Presales Solutions team and work closely with Sales, Solutions, Services, Engineering, Product, Security, Customer Success, and cloud partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in enterprise technology, including more than 7 years in designing and implementing production cloud architectures for enterprise or regulated clients in large or mid-sized organizations.

• Proven experience leading engineers engaged in customer implementations, guiding AI and data solutions from use case to production while managing customer expectations, scope, and handoff processes.

• Significant customer-facing pre-sales experience supporting intricate enterprise software opportunities, which includes technical discovery, solution validation, and responding to RFI/RFP requests.

• Profound expertise in at least one hyperscaler (Azure preferred) and working knowledge across AWS and GCP, covering compute, Kubernetes, storage, networking, identity, and managed data services.

• Experience in designing AI agent engineering in production settings, including LLM applications, agent orchestration frameworks, retrieval and tool integration, evaluation and monitoring, and model governance.

• Capability to link architecture decisions to customer business objectives, commercial value, delivery feasibility, cost, and risk considerations.

• Strong comprehension of enterprise integrations, REST/GraphQL, APIs, data flows, cloud performance, scalability, governance, and cost optimization.

• Executive presence with the ability to lead architecture and risk discussions with CIOs, CISOs, enterprise architects, and procurement professionals.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

• Current professional-level cloud architecture certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.

• Remote position based in the United States; travel may be required up to 30% across North America and LATAM.
