This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Karoo Health care model.
• Convert evidence-based cardiology guidelines into actionable and scalable care protocols.
• Evaluate, refine, and standardize care protocols to cater to the needs of diverse markets and payer agreements.
• Ensure the Karoo Health care model promotes value-based care.
• Operationalize the clinical model across care teams by developing SOPs, staffing structures, role definitions, and training resources.
• Identify operational challenges or clinical variations and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Assist in market launches by ensuring clinical preparedness, workflows, and staffing are established.
• Provide operational assistance to Karoo’s clinical team (including RNs, LCSW, MAs, etc.).
• Facilitate hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of clinical personnel.
• Promote a culture focused on patient-centered, data-driven, high-quality care delivery.
• Collaborate with Analytics and Finance to define and track clinical KPIs related to value-based contracts.
• Utilize data to evaluate clinical effectiveness and pinpoint opportunities to enhance outcomes and minimize avoidable utilization.
• Work alongside partner cardiology practices to ensure seamless integration of Karoo’s clinical model into existing workflows.
• Ensure clinical operations comply with regulatory, licensure, and quality standards across various states and care settings.
• Collaborate closely with Product to inform clinical requirements for tools, workflows, and dashboards.
• Partner with Market Ops and Growth teams to align clinical delivery with expansion objectives.
• Clinical experience in cardiology.
• NP, PA, or MD degree is considered a significant advantage.
• Over 5 years of experience in operational and personnel management.
• Experience in value-based care provider organizations.
• Familiarity with full upside and downside risk arrangements is a plus.
• Experience in developing or scaling clinical programs within a startup or established health system.
• Background in a value-based provider startup organization is advantageous.
• Strong systems thinker capable of translating clinical strategy into operational practice.
• Comfortable functioning amidst uncertainty and adapting swiftly as the organization evolves.
