This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the daily operations of Liability or Property claims teams to ensure claims are resolved efficiently and of high quality.
• Guide, mentor, and develop claims leaders, managers, and adjusters to foster a high-performing organization centered on customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish claims strategies, operational priorities, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure that claims handling processes adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Serve as a point of escalation for intricate or high-severity claims, offering strategic oversight and direction.
• Work cross-functionally with Underwriting, Legal, Product, and Customer Care teams to enhance claims processes and manage associated risks.
• Lead or assist in initiatives for continuous improvement, introducing tools, systems, and workflows that boost efficiency and transparency.
• Oversee team capacity planning, performance monitoring, and recruitment to support Coterie’s growth targets.
• Create, report on, and drive claims goals/objectives and KPIs to executive leadership, emphasizing trends, outcomes, and areas for enhancement.
• Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, TPAs, and external partners to ensure effective claims management and alignment with service expectations.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in property and liability claims management, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
• Proven track record in leading, mentoring, and developing multi-disciplinary claims teams successfully.
• Extensive technical knowledge in managing complex liability and property claims, encompassing litigation management and settlement strategies.
• Solid understanding of insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices within the industry.
• Demonstrated capability to create and implement scalable operational processes and reporting frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience collaborating across functions with underwriting, product, legal, and customer-facing teams.
• Demonstrable history of utilizing data and analytics to inform decision-making and enhance claims performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, or a related field (advanced certifications such as CPCU, AIC, or ARM are preferred).
• Fully remote work environment.
