This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to casualty leadership.
• Act as a key connection between the Casualty Line of Business and other business units, ensuring consistency in underwriting strategies, priorities, and execution.
• Assist underwriters in developing coverage with accuracy, clarity, and intent.
• Impact the future of casualty products and capabilities.
• Enhance underwriting discipline while facilitating intelligent growth in changing markets.
• Engage directly with underwriting teams through face-to-face collaboration, field travel, and hands-on development.
• Lead and implement casualty product strategy initiatives that align with profitability, growth, and long-term portfolio goals.
• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Claims, and Business Units to create, evolve, and execute casualty product offerings and strategic roadmaps.
• Convert market trends, emerging risks, and legal or regulatory changes into actionable underwriting, product, and distribution strategies.
• Advocate for innovation in underwriting methodologies, product design, and participation in alternative distribution models.
• Work alongside corporate underwriting leadership to enhance underwriting guidance, best practices, and authority frameworks, including the management of underwriting authority levels.
• Mentor underwriters and leaders to improve technical expertise, judgment, and decision-making quality.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Insurance, or a related field.
• CPCU, ARM, or equivalent underwriting and insurance-related certifications are preferred.
• Over 8 years of progressive underwriting experience with greater responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success in shaping and implementing underwriting and product strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Extensive experience in the Property & Casualty industry, with in-depth knowledge of ISO products, underwriting practices, and insurance operations.
• Proven capability to collaborate across various functions including underwriting, actuarial, claims, compliance, and risk management to achieve business outcomes.
