This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the principal strategist and designer of the Fund's structure.
• Create a long-term vision, revenue model, and compelling case for support that appeals to major and transformational donors.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO, Board Chair, and senior leaders at BRAC to ensure alignment with the organization's goals.
• Develop and execute a multi-year global fundraising strategy targeting major and transformational contributions.
• Personally manage the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of an exclusive portfolio of ultra-high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and institutional donors.
• Represent the Fund as a prominent and persuasive ambassador at international donor gatherings, board meetings, and prestigious philanthropic events.
• Oversee and propel fundraising initiatives aimed at securing approximately $1 billion in campaign commitments over five years, ultimately reaching $2 billion throughout the Fund's lifespan.
• Design and lead the launch and implementation of the Fund’s campaign, including messaging, donor engagement tactics, and campaign milestones.
• Build and nurture a coalition of philanthropic advocates and advisors to enhance BRAC’s access to new donor networks.
• Ensure campaign effectiveness through performance monitoring, outcome reporting, and continuous strategic adjustments.
• Manage daily administrative responsibilities such as scheduling, travel arrangements, Salesforce management, and processing donation agreements in partnership with grants management and finance.
• Oversee the Fund’s operational budget, which includes travel, donor events, and external consultants or vendors.
• Coordinate efforts across BRAC USA, BRAC Europe, and GCC affiliates to prevent overlapping or conflicting outreach to the same donors.
• Work in conjunction with leadership, program teams, and external partners to align donor commitments with strategic impact priorities.
• Provide regular updates and accountability to the CEO, Board Chair, and other governing bodies.
• A degree in a relevant field, with certification as a philanthropic advisor preferred.
• Over 20 years of progressive experience in fundraising leadership.
• Proven success in securing gifts and commitments in the range of $25M to $50M+.
• Experience in leading or holding a senior position in large-scale campaigns and complex global fundraising efforts.
• Extensive networks or demonstrated ability to create opportunities within high-level philanthropic and foundation circles, with established credibility among ultra-high-net-worth donors.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the capacity to design, launch, and modify ambitious fundraising strategies in a changing environment.
• Outstanding communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to motivate diverse global stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy as a senior individual contributor while effectively collaborating with fundraising teams across BRAC USA, BRAC Europe, GCC, and BRAC International.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and complexity within a matrixed, global organization.
• Proficiency in donor CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Google Suite, and MS Office.
• Strong dedication to BRAC’s mission of eradicating poverty and promoting equity worldwide.
