Director – Aviation Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee business development and client engagement initiatives throughout the Northeast aviation sector.

• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with airport authorities, airlines, and key stakeholders, especially within PANYNJ.

• Promote growth at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and throughout the wider regional aviation portfolio.

• Provide strategic leadership throughout the complete lifecycle of aviation infrastructure projects.

• Ensure the successful execution of intricate airport programs, including terminals, airside and landside infrastructure, utilities, and enabling works from strategic planning to execution and operational readiness.

• Establish and implement best-in-class program management and control frameworks across scope, schedule, cost, risk, governance, and performance management.

• Advocate for innovation in digital delivery, sustainability, resilience, and asset performance.

• Develop, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary aviation team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in program management, PMO leadership, or program controls for significant capital projects.

• Established track record in aviation, transportation, or large-scale infrastructure delivery.

• Strong proficiency in governance, program controls, reporting, and risk/change management.

• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.

• Outstanding communication abilities with the aptitude to present to executive audiences.

• Experience working with airport authorities, FAA programs, or federal capital delivery.

• Background in design-build, CMAR, progressive design-build, or multi-prime delivery environments.

• Knowledge of enterprise PMO systems, cost management platforms, and scheduling tools.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CCP, PSP, or equivalent.

• Professional Engineering (PE) License in NY/NJ or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 60 days of employment.

• Must reside in the NY Metro area.
