Director, Athlete Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to expanding Faves' presence in lifestyle sports by establishing strategic partnerships and facilitating personalized onboarding. Collaborate directly with athletes to implement best practices, unlock brand partnership potentials, and create storefronts that accurately represent their training, lifestyle, and competition.

• Transform athlete data into a practical growth strategy. Track storefront performance and provide customized recommendations that yield measurable outcomes. Identify athletes on the verge of a breakthrough and empower them to achieve it.

• Be the trusted contact for athletes. Address issues swiftly, communicate proactively, and ensure that every athlete in your portfolio feels they have a true advocate at Faves.

• Bring the athlete's viewpoint into discussions. Collaborate with Product, Content, Brand, and Data teams to highlight athletes' needs and identify areas for improvement. You serve as the link between the field and the office.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in athlete relations, talent management, account management, or sports partnership roles.

• Proven history of cultivating high-trust relationships with elite or professional athletes in sports such as tennis, golf, soccer, basketball, and action sports.

• Strong commercial instincts, capable of aligning athlete authenticity with revenue generation without compromising either aspect.

• Proficient in data analysis, able to interpret performance dashboards, identify underperforming areas, and devise improvement plans.

• Exceptional communication skills. Clear writer and confident speaker, someone that both athletes and internal teams are eager to have in discussions.

• Authentic understanding of the sports sectors you engage with. Professional expertise is not required, but cultural fluency is essential.

• Experience with affiliate programs, creator commerce platforms, or sports sponsorship environments is highly advantageous.
