• Take ownership of the SPC pipeline from start to finish — encompassing intake, triage, scoping, prioritization, handoff to IT delivery teams, documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
• Facilitate regular cross-functional Special Project Reviews with business units, internal team meetings, and architecture-collaboration sessions to align priorities and remove obstacles to delivery.
• Oversee solution architecture and data-quality standards to maintain a pipeline that is reliable, swift, supported, valuable, and clean (the Innovation Engine scorecard).
• Lead, mentor, and develop the STAQ team (Business Process Operations Manager and Business Process Engineers), promoting a culture of innovation, experimentation, and ongoing improvement.
• Develop and oversee the STAQ budget and capacity plan; manage incoming demand against the existing backlog and staffing availability.
• Engage with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to align department portfolios, delivery priorities, and enterprise strategy; manage STAQ’s knowledge base and operational standards.
• Investigate and assess emerging technologies (automation, analytics) for business relevance and drive continuous improvement of the pipeline and its supporting infrastructure.
• 8+ years of combined experience in technology delivery, business operations, and/or process enhancement, including leadership of teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical or quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer/Data Science, Information Systems, or Business). An engineering background is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience in delivering technology programs or products from conception through to delivery and post-launch support.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, define project scope, and convert business needs into technical solutions.
• A solid understanding of data structures, analytics, and solution architecture (conceptual familiarity required; hands-on engineering experience is not necessary).
• Demonstrated capability to coordinate, organize, lead, and develop teams while managing competing priorities among multiple stakeholders.
• Comfort in working on technical projects and with oil & gas business applications, along with a strong comprehension of business operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the executive level.
• Opportunities to enhance skills through collaborative efforts across various functions.
• Opportunities for development.
