Director – Assistant General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Execute and oversee the company's legal and compliance initiatives.

• Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal function.

• Draft, evaluate, and modify a variety of contracts.

• Lead negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners.

• Manage the complete contract lifecycle.

• Oversee selected company litigation matters.

• Assist the Legal Department in enhancing and developing compliance programs.

• Lead and cultivate a diverse, high-performing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Active membership in any State Bar.

• At least 5 years of direct legal experience in progressive in-house roles, or a minimum of 10 years with at least 3 years in in-house positions.

• Strong expertise in contracting is essential.

• Preferred in-house experience with Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs).

• Required background in the life sciences industry or related manufacturing sector.

• Experience with startups is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with a wide range of legal technologies, including Contract Lifecycle Management systems (CLMs), research tools, and artificial intelligence.
